With over 15 years  of experience in the IT field working in positions such as Tier II Technical Support Analyst, Local Area Network Specialist, Information Systems Liaison, and IT Consultant; I’ve witnessed first hand how technology can be intimidating for users. In this introductory course you’ll learn how to use technology to your advantage and build a solid foundation for the road ahead.

You will discover computer shortcuts, navigation tips, and tools that will allow you to work more efficiently, save time, and begin your journey into the Information Technology field. You’ll follow along with quick exercises and quizzes that will reinforce materials covered in each lesson. The aim of this course is not only to teach you a class about computers, but to share knowledge and tools that will help you throughout the course of your career.

This course covers Microsoft Windows 10 Operating systems. Earlier versions of Windows such as Windows 7/Vista/8/8.1 include `some` of the same features. If you are running an earlier version of Windows please send a message to the instructor for troubleshooting tips compatible to your version.
Desktop or notebook computer running the full version of Microsoft Windows. Chromebooks are not covered in this course. Recommended: Removable media devices such as external hard drive or USB jump drive.
